Connection
Style is not shallow. We approach clothing as a tool to promote connection. We use them as a way of connecting with you, connecting you with your values, and connecting you with others.
Curiosity
Clothes are a vehicle for growth, and growth comes from taking risks. Risk-taking with clothing becomes much less intimidating when we go in with curiosity. A big thing we are missing from our style lives is PLAY. We'll help you have fun with your clothes.
Celebration
Success requires celebration. Without celebration, we stay stuck in discontent, FOMO, and shiny object syndrome. You are worth celebrating, exactly as you are today.

Our Story So Far
2018
As a stay-at-home mom, founder Liz decided to sell her pre-baby clothes on Facebook. A personal stylist saw them and offered her a job selling clothes on Poshmark.
2019
Liz started her style apprenticeship and had her color analysis done. She was simultaneously inspired and indignant that the truth of her unique beauty had been hidden for so long. She dove headfirst into “perfecting” her style.
2020
In the middle of a global pandemic, Liz graduated and began offering color analysis and traditional styling, building a strong local client base.
2021
Rise Styling was founded.
2022
After relocating to Atlanta, Liz pivoted Rise Styling to an online business model, developing a robust library of coursework and teaching.
2023
To make quality color analysis more accessible to everyone, The Color Kit™ was born and goes viral. 30+ states in the first year.
2024
Liz realizes her dream of creating an online space for rebel women to go on a long-term style evolution in community with each other: Style Elevator was born
The Color Kit™ went international for the first time. The Rise Styling team begins to grow.
2025
Liz realizes her dream of making style education accessible to everyone: Style Biology Academy was born

Liz Thogerson, Founder
A leading expert in personal color analysis, and the inventor of Style Biology™, The Color Kit™ system and The Rise Method of color analysis, Liz founded Rise Styling in 2021, and has supported hundreds of women on their values-centered style transformations. She lives in Atlanta, GA with her husband, two kids, and many struggling houseplants.

Rachel Sy, Junior Stylist
Rachel is the co-coach and lead personal shopper inside of Style Elevator.She is a graduate of the intensive year-long apprenticeship at Rise Styling, and is a certified color analyst in The Rise Method. Rachel lives in central New Jersey with her husband, two kids, and beloved pup, Izzy.

Lydia Duncan, Certified Color Analyst & Color Kit™ Coordinator
Lydia is our midwest color analysis maven and the talent behind the scenes of The Color Kit™. Lydia standardizes your photos for color accuracy, builds custom reports, and ships Drapes Edition Kits with love and care. Lydia lives on an idyllic farm in northern Illinois with her husband.
