so, you’re sick of playing small, huh?

(good news: that ends now!)

I know all about playing small.

I also know that trying to level up while playing it safe with your personal style is like trying to swim the English Channel wearing an iron bikini.

A lot of motions, not a lot of progress - SUPER exhausting.

Your clothes shouldn’t be a weight dragging you down, but the launchpad propelling you forward on your unique path.

I’m guessing you’re here because you know it, too.

You’re yearning to let your freak flag fly, to create a wardrobe that announces your presence unapologetically…

…But, if dressing like the creative, weird, smart, influential person you are was as simple as the Internet would like you to believe…

“Buy these hot new must-haves!” (yawn)

“How to slim and conceal your problem areas!” (cracks knuckles)

“Timeless styles are the best investment!” (eye roll)

…you wouldn’t be reading these words right now.

You deserve SO MUCH MORE.

wouldn’t the world be a better place if women had a proven framework for genuine personal style?

stay-at-home mom to style ceo

(a peek into my own style journey)

You might think you need to be fashion-obsessed, thin, and wealthy to love how you look in clothes.

Perhaps you’ve even felt that caring about your appearance might reflect poorly on your character.

Trust me, I get it.

But, imagine discovering that none of those beliefs were true. Imagine finding out that caring about your appearance could actually amplify your values and unleash your unique talents into the world.

Seven years ago, I was just like you. I had given up on my appearance and, in many ways, on myself.

But then, I started treating clothing like a science and breaking fashion rules like an artist. This shift in perspective wasn’t just about clothes—it was a deeper realization about self-worth and expression.

Now, as your style coach, it’s my privilege to guide you on this same journey. Together, we’ll explore how the right style can resonate deeply with who you are and enhance how you show up in the world.

Being fabulous isn't about being cool, thin, or rich—it’s about being confidently you.

More on that later...

my scrappy path to styling

(why i’m so thankful i gained 50 lbs)

I like to say I didn’t become a stylist the normal way. I became a stylist the scrappy way.

Let’s back up to 2014: Motherhood knocked me on my butt. I went from strutting around downtown Pittsburgh in my thrifted designer duds, to - literally - sitting on my butt under a newborn. I had just signed a multi-year contract on a job I had no training for.

Little did I know, these four years were the beginning of a career path I could never have predicted.

Don’t get me wrong, my four years as a stay-at-home mom were absolutely breath-taking. This was the time in my life where I became obsessed with women. I met hundreds of women in my local mom’s group, and marveled at the depth and complexity of their lives and goals.

And, like any mommy group worth their salt, we had a Facebook clothing swap page. When my second baby turned one, my new post-baby body seemed to be here to stay. I decided to part with my beautiful pre-baby clothes.

Comments on my things began rolling in:

”OMG who were you in a past life?”
”I had no idea you were such a fashionista!”
”Umm you never told me you were so stylish!”

WERE. I couldn’t help but feel almost PROUD. Letting myself go felt like a badge of honor in mom culture. I was growing up. I was done with that life.

But, something was brewing behind the scenes. A local stylist in the group saw my clothing swap posts, and send me a message offering me a job.

To make a long story short, I said yes to an opportunity I wouldn’t have gotten if I hadn’t cleaned out my closet.

And I never looked back.

Wouldn’t the world be a better place if we could embrace our wonderfully weird bodies, take up space, and express every side of ourselves fully?

When you do this, the entire world benefits. That’s why I do what I do, so that your gifts and talents can flow generously, without barriers.

It’s so not about the clothes - it’s about the experiences that are meant for you.

That’s why I created Style Elevator - to help rebel women like you slay with Style Biology, take clothing risks, and build a personalized wardrobe, without sacrificing your values.

at rise styling,
i go by three values:

  • Style is not shallow. I approach clothing as a tool to promote connection. I use them as a way of connecting with you, connecting you with your values, and connecting you with others.

  • Clothes are a vehicle for growth. Risk-taking with clothing becomes much less intimidating when we go in with curiosity. A big thing we are missing from our style lives is PLAY. I'll help you have fun with your clothes.

  • Success requires celebration. Without celebration, we stay stuck in discontent, FOMO, and shiny object syndrome. You are worth celebrating, exactly as you are today.

who are you, again?
