cool summer vs cool winter: comparing subseasons

This is a question I hear a lot: how can I tell the difference between Summer pastels and Winter icy pastels?

Here’s what you need to know:

- Summer colors look VINTAGE (washed, faded, grayed-out)

- Winter colors look NEW (saturated, inky, extreme)

For the pastels specifically:

- Summer pastels look cloudy or milky.

- Winter pastels are *one tick* away from pure white. They are extreme!
